The Red Herring editorial team selected the most innovative companies from a pool of thousands from across North America. Winners of the 2010 edition of the Red Herring 100 North America award are selected based upon their technological innovation, management strength, market size, investor record, customer acquisition, and financial health. Red Herring's annual lists of top private companies are an important part of the company's tradition of identifying new and innovative technology companies and entrepreneurs.
