ASUSTOR integrates its Surveillance Center application with Edimax IP cameras

Published on 16 August, 2013

ASUSTOR Inc., a leading innovator and provider of network storage solutions, announced recently that it has completed an integration with renowned IP camera brand Edimax, to bring a high quality surveillance solution to the market. Now ASUSTOR users will be able to pair ASUSTOR’s Surveillance Center application with Edimax IP cameras to create an optimal surveillance solution, adding to the signature backup and network storage functions that ASUSTOR has become known for. Edimax’s line of IP cameras includes the PT-31E model which features complete pan-tilt functionality and the IR-113E which comes equipped with infrared LEDs. These two models will be especially helpful to those looking to surveil a larger area and those who require around the clock surveillance.

Meticulously developed by ASUSTOR, Surveillance Center provides users with a reliable surveillance solution that can be downloaded for free from ASUSTOR’s App Central. Surveillance Center is highly flexible in deployment as it is currently compatible with over 100 different types of IP cameras from leading brands. This allows users to construct an ideal system for themselves according to their budget and needs. The newest version of Surveillance Center features super quick configuration allowing users to complete the camera searching process and begin setup in under 30 seconds. Newly added drag and drop management allows users to organise the order of the live feeds on the user interface via drag and drop. Surveillance Center also conveniently remembers the interface setup for each user, allowing users to see the same setup even if they log in from different Web browsers and locations. Additionally, different colors are now used to denote different types of recorded events on the time axis helping users to quickly identify events and their starting time during playback.

"ASUSTOR is a leading innovator and provider of network storage solutions which provides an optimal platform for constructing surveillance systems. Edimax is honoured to partner with ASUSTOR to provide a comprehensive surveillance solution. ASUSTOR offers comprehensive support for all Edimax high performance network cameras including the IR-113E 3Mpx Outdoor PoE True Day & Night Network Camera and the IC-3115W which provides Plug-n-View cloud monitoring features and easy installation. We believe that together we provide the most reliable and user friendly solution” said Aaron Yang, product manager at Edimax.

“We are very excited to announce the completion of this integration with Edimax. We have successfully added over 33 different camera types including the PT-31E and IR-113E which have been in high demand by the market,” said James Su, Product Manager at ASUSTOR. “ASUSTOR’s Surveillance Center combines a simple and intuitive interface along with full support for pan-tilt-zoom functionality. We firmly believe that this integration will bring a great usage experience to both ASUSTOR and Edimax users.”
