HID Global speeds up customer migration to advanced physical access control solutions at Security Essen 2010
HID Global will showcase its new migration access control card/reader technologies and printer solutions
HID Global, trusted leader in solutions for the delivery of secure identity, is continuing its drive to enable seamless migration from legacy technology to secure physical and logical access control solutions.

The company will highlight its "Migration in 3D" theme to showcase its new solutions for enabling 1) higher security, 2) multiple applications on a singe card, and 3) migration from legacy systems to cutting-edge technology at this week's Security Essen.

In addition to demonstrating its broad range of secure identity products and new printer/encoder solutions, Volker Kunz, Regional Director, Continental Europe, Identity & Access Management (IAM), at HID Global will discuss the company's strategy for migration in physical access, logical access and printer/encoder solutions on October 5 (2:30 p.m.); and on October 6 and 7 (3:15 p.m.) in the Security Forum 1, Hall 4.

"At HID Global, we believe that keeping pace with advanced technology solutions is the best way for our customers to meet the challenges they face in their day-to-day business," said Harm Radstaak, Managing Director, EMEA, Identity and Access Management (IAM), at HID Global. "HID Global's expanded offering of migration readers and credentials helps organisations meet those challenges by streamlining the transition to higher security for better performance, while also empowering them to more easily and flexibly deploy multiple applications on a single credential."

HID Global is featuring its extensive suite of products, solutions and technologies for secure identity-related applications at Hall 12, Stand Number 216 at the Essen trade fair ground from 5 to 8 October, 2010. Key HID Global demonstrations at Security Essen 2010 include:

Migration solutions

  • New Genuine HID™ migration readers, including an iCLASS® reader for migration from MIFARE Classic to 13.56 MHz MIFARE DESFire EV1 and HID iCLASS contactless technology; multiCLASS® readers for migration from legacy magnetic stripe and 125 kHz proximity card technology to 13.56 MHz HID iCLASS contactless technology; and the industry's first dual-HF credential, which enables organisations to bridge the gap between legacy solutions and secure 13.56 MHz MIFARE DESFire EV1 and iCLASS contactless technologies.
  • New Genuine HID™ migration credentials include the MIFARE DESFire EV1-only and combination MIFARE DESFire EV1/Prox credentials that can accept an embeddable contact chip for logical access and biometric ID systems.

Genuine HID™ Credential and Reader solutions

The extensive line of high-quality Genuine HID technology cards as well as the company's next-generation, modular Edge Evo™ reader line for a variety of access-control applications.
