The AP8001X is the distributed intelligence of the AEOS system. In this AEOS Processing Unit (AEpu), the user defines the desired local functionality by activating behaviour components. All authorisations for the connected readers are stored in the AEpu. Each AEpu can function as a stand-alone unit or can be connected to the IP network to communicate with other AEpus and IP-based devices in the network. This can be achieved without intervention of the AEOS server, with which the connected equipment also communicates by IP. | ||||||||||||
