Dean Meyer promoted to Pelco President and CEO

Pelco is pleased to announce that Dean Meyer has been promoted to the position of Pelco President and CEO, effective January 21, 2008. Meyer is replacing David L. McDonald, who has served as Pelco President and CEO for the past 20 years. McDonald will continue his work with the company in the role as Chairman of the Board.

TAC says that retailers are seriously damaging their bottom line profits by not addressing crime properly.

The claim comes after research carried out by TAC revealed that only nine per cent of retailers nationally treated security as a priority - even though crime cost the industry £2.5bn in 2005.

TAC asked managers from leading high street stores and supermarkets from 10 UK cities to rate the importance of security against a list of other retail issues. As many as 22% rated security as the least important factor facing their day-to-day work, compared to a list of issues including...

Giving businesses the edge

Building controls specialist TAC has launched EnergyEdge, a comprehensive energy-saving programme aimed at helping businesses deliver a competitive edge through reduced operating costs, improved building performance and environments and greater employee productivity.

The program is unique in that it promises to help make energy savings at zero cost, on the same day that the assessment is carried out. TAC believes most employers could save 20 per cent from their current utility bills.

Although most businesses would benefit from installing systems to help monitor and manage energy usage on an ongoing basis, TAC says in many cases, employers do not even need to buy new equipment.
