Samsung introduces SRN-100, network video recording system

Samsung has introduced a scaleable ‘building block’ network video recording system designed to uncomplicate the process of specifying a video storage solution large enough to meet immediate requirements, but which can be easily expanded if needed in the future.

Samsung’s new ONVIF compliant SRN-1000 NVR provides up to 24TB of on-board video storage capacity and there is the potential of an additional 24TB of storage via two external e-Sata direct storage devices.

An unlimited number of SRN-1000s can work in harmony to provide a seamless server style video recording solution.

QNAP Systems, Inc. is extending the number of compatible peripherals for its Turbo NAS products. The additions, including five 500GB to 1TB 2.5-inch internal SATA hard drives, ten 2.5-inch 60GB to 480GB internal Solid State Drives, two USB Wi-Fi adapters, and one USB camera are now fully compatible. Samsung releases 4CIF WDR network camera range

Samsung’s new 4CIF WDR network camera range is designed to provide a competitively priced alternative option to megapixel cameras for video surveillance projects where very high quality images are required.

Samsung has updated its SAMS access control management software with the addition of a number of user and installer friendly features.
Available license-free for projects with up to 1000 users and 40 doors (up to 80 readers), SAMS now has a Muster reporting feature which can be configured to produce a report as to who is on site at any given moment, as well as automatically generate a list in the event of a fire alarm activation.
