The world fair for security and fire prevention, "Security" in Essen, Germany from October 5 to 8, represented the highlight in the MOBOTIX trade fair calendar for the second half of 2010. Booth 408 in hall 1.0 impressed expert audiences with the MOBOTIX' renowned high-performance and extensive product portfolio in the area of video security technology and with the latest product innovations for the home automation industry.
Amongst the products on show was the latest Hemispheric IP Video Door Station T24 with access control, as well as additional home automation components that enable the station to be controlled using a smart phone (for example the Apple iPhone).
The T24 captures the entire entrance area without any blind spots, from wall to wall, floor to ceiling. When the doorbell rings, a connection is established with a VoIP video phone, a standard computer or tablet computer via the network. This makes it possible to gain audio and video access to the door station from anywhere in the world. Digital voice messages can be left at the door station and accessed later. Access rights can also be customised conveniently and easily by entering a PIN code or using an RFID transponder. Events outside the building's door can be automatically recorded continuously or on an event-controlled basis with lip-synchronised sound on an integrated memory.
The T24 is based on the international video telephony standard VoIP/SIP and H.264.
Furthermore, MOBOTIX will present its complete hemispheric video solutions consisting of camera and video management software that provides comprehensive 360° room coverage, while also offering a zoom function (PTZ) that enables users to closely examine an image section that is of possible interest.
