Q22 panorama: a better overview
Mobotix AG, manufacturer of high-resolution, complete IP video systems, presents the new hemispheric Q22 camera at the IFSEC 2009. The new panorama function of the Q22 delivers a widescreen image of a high-resolution 180° all-round view. This makes it possible to monitor entire rooms discreetly with a single camera.
The Q22 zooms in on detail and delivers two simultaneous views, in addition to the 180° panorama, thus making it possible to focus on two scenes and the overview at the same time. Thanks to joystick and virtual PTZ, the camera is maintenance-free, as it has no mechanical moving parts. High image quality is achieved through the use of a 3.1-megapixel sensor and the new hemispheric lens. Since the image distortion correction of the hemispheric view and the generating of the panoramic view take place in the camera itself, no additional load is placed on the viewer PC compared to a standard camera. Thus it is possible to display a large number of panoramic cameras simultaneously on a single PC.
The surround function of the Q22 completely replaces four conventional cameras; it shows four different directions simultaneously in quad view on a monitor. Virtual PTZ is available for each of the four views.
16GByte full video recording
The Q22 stores high-resolution video with sound directly on the integrated Flash memory, without using an external recording device or PC, and therefore without generating additional network load. Old recordings can be overwritten automatically or deleted after a predefined period. The storage capacity is sufficient for around 100,000 panorama images or 1,000 minutes of film.
MxEasy and MxCC 2.0
The MxEasy video software manages up to 16 cameras, from network connection to the graphical configuration of the recording types and times. The software is especially designed for smaller, private application solutions and downloadable free of charge. With new functions and improved user interface, the new Version 2.0 of the professional video software MxCC will be presented at IFSEC 2009.
VoIP door station with image storage
At the IFSEC 2009, Mobotix will also introduce its new door communication product line based on the international video telephony standard VoIP/SIP. When the doorbell rings, a connection is set up via the network to a videophone or a PC. A 3.1-megapixel camera with a hemispheric lens enables the entire scene outside the building to be monitored. The image section is selected using virtual PTZ via telephone, without any mechanical movement. The door station automatically stores events outside the building with sound whenever it registers the doorbell, detects movement, or when switches are triggered. Station and door opener are powered via the network cable. Physically, the VoIP door station fits into the Vario module system from German manufacturer Siedle and can be integrated with most of the modules, such as doorbell plates, motion detectors or lighting.
Additionally, special gas station cameras will be presented at the show. They allow four gas station lanes can be recorded simultaneously, for several days, on an internal semi-conductor memory, without network load and without PC/DVR.
