Mitsubishi Corporation installs Fastlane plus from Integrated Design

Mitsubishi Corporation has recently installed Fastlane plus barrier arm optical turnstiles from Integrated Design in their new 34 storey offices, in Tokyo, Japan.  The offices overlook Tokyo Station, in the "Marunouchi" Central Business District.  Mitsubishi Corporation is Japan's largest general trading company with over 500 group Companies, in over 80 Countries.

Mitsubishi's project team wanted to create a secure work place by limiting access to the building to authorised staff and visitors.  As such an access control system and turnstiles were required.  Mitsubishi intended to maintain a secure perimeter at all entrances into the building, without being imposing to staff and visitors.

The project team selected Fastlane plus, the very latest in high tech entrance control systems, from Integrated Design Ltd.  Fastlane plus is a state of the art barrier-arm optical turnstile, which uses optical technology to monitor the passage of every individual entering and leaving the building, and the fast-acting barrier arms physically deter any unauthorised access.

The Fastlane turnstiles were combined with a NexWatch Access Control System to help prevent the most common of access control violations such as tailgating, pass-back and unauthorised entry.

Mitsubishi consulted with their sister Company, Yonei Corporation to help design the system and 4 lots of 4 lanes of the Fastlane plus R400 MA units were positioned in the Basement entrance, 1^st floor entrance, and on the 3^rd and 4^th floors, thereby creating a secure perimeter and allowing staff and visitors quick and easy access to the building whichever entrance they use.
