Johan Wallentin appointed to Idesco's UK Sales Manager

Published on 17 November 2006

Finnish RFID manufacturer Idesco has appointed Mr Johan Wallentin as Sales Manager, responsible for the United Kingdom and Ireland.  This is a new position in Idesco´s organisation and part of our growth strategy.  Mr Wallentin's previous positions include working as a Marketing Manager at MYDATA Automation and as a CEO at JOT Automation UK Ltd.  During his last assignment, as the Sales Manager of the Automation Solutions department at Elektrobit GmbH in Germany, he was responsible for sales in the UK, Sweden and German-speaking countries.

With 20 years of experience in electronics sales and marketing, Johan is an excellent reinforcement to our sales team.  Johan's new role will be to further develop existing relationships, promote our wide range of identification devices to new customers and to give support and service to system integrators and distributors in the British Isles.  "I look forward working with all existing customers in the UK and I believe that there is room for new customers as well.  Idesco's reputation is good and with a local presence we will improve our service, which, together with quality, is our key success factor", states Johan.

Idesco Oy specialises in readers and tags based on RFID (radio frequency identification) technology.  Founded in 1989, Idesco is one of the most remarkable companies in the field of RFID technology in Europe.  The company offers solutions for instance to access control, Automated vehicle identification (AVI) and logistics applications.
