Fujinon introduces new range of 3-megapixel vari-focal CCTV lenses - scheduled for show at IFSEC 2008

Published on 1 Apr 2008

New 3-megapixel, vari-focal YV series CCTV lenses from Fujinon, designed for use with the latest high-resolution cameras, will be introduced by Pyser-CGI at IFSEC 2008Available from UK / Ireland distributor Pyser-SGI Limited is a new range of Fujinon 3-megapixel vari-focal CCTV lenses designed for the latest high resolution 1/3 or ¼ inch format cameras, which are now being introduced to meet the growing demand for high-quality images that enable information acquisition and subject recognition, rather than just viewing.

It is anticipated that Pyser-SGI will show the lenses for the first time in Europe at IFSEC 2008 in May.

The new "YV" range employs Fujinon's Aspherical Technology (AT) using low-dispersion glass with a high-reflective index; offering sharper, even better quality images and higher optical performance.  Supporting up to 3-million pixel high-resolution cameras, the lenses feature fast aperture and are equipped with built-in ND (Neutral Density) filters for use with sensitive cameras, plus metal CS mounts with locking screws and DC auto iris systems.

The three models in the new range include the two super wide angle (100 degrees horizontal, using 1/3 inch sensor) YV 2.8x2.8 SA-SA2 and YV 4.3x2.8 SA-SA2 lenses, plus the 15x magnification telephoto YV 3.3x15 SA-SA2.

Focal lengths are 2.8-8 mm for the YV 2.8x2.8 lens, 2.8-12 mm for the YV 4.3x2.8, and 15-50 mm for the YV 3.3x15.  The lens fast apertures (F-numbers) are 1.2-T360 on the YV 2.8x2.8, 1.4-T360 on the YV 4.3x2.8, and 1.5-T360 on the YV 3.3x15.  The lens weights are 50 g for the 2.8x, and 60 g for the 4.3x and 3.3x.
