Chubb supplies fire extinguishers to all new stores

Chubb Fire has won an extensive new contract with national greeting cards retailer, Card Factory, to supply all new shops with extinguishers. Chubb Fire is part of UTC Fire & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp.

Card Factory has been on the UK's high streets for over thirteen years. Selling greetings cards, gifts, plush items, novelties, gift wrap, the company prides itself on delivering quality products at value for money prices. Based in Wakefield, the company currently has approximately 490 stores nationwide and employs in the region of 5000 people.

The new contract builds on a good working relationship first established in 2007 when Chubb tendered for the contract to supply secure monitoring of the alarms for one of its warehouses, linked through to the alarm receiving centre which alerts the emergency services. "Based on this good work we then agreed a servicing contract for the extinguishers," says Joanne Sheffield Store Opening Manager at the Card Factory. "We have been very impressed with Chubb Fire's working practices and thorough knowledge, its reputation precedes it for good reason."

"From day one we have been pleased with the level of service and professionalism of all of Chubb's engineers and we look forward to working with them in the future."

Chubb was asked to quote for the Head Office and two other warehouses' alarm monitoring, fire alarm and extinguishers, and supplied portable fire extinguishers to 10 new trial stores. To reward its good work, Chubb was awarded the business to supply fire extinguishers to all new stores and the servicing contracts throughout.
