Dedicated Micros spotlights Middle East CCTV solutions at Intersec 2008

Published on 11 January 2008

DEDICATED MICROS SPOTLIGHTS MIDDLE EAST CCTV SOLUTIONS AT INTERSEC 2008Dedicated Micros - part of AD Group - will be using Intersec 2008 (13 - 15 January) to underline the growing success of its NetVu Connected IP CCTV solutions in the Middle East area, which has become such a pivotal market for the business in a wide range of sectors from banking to retail.

One of the key product developments on display will be the HighVu Excel enterprise range.  This modular, expandable, high performance CCTV recording and IP transmission solution - with embedded analytics and scalable video wall capability - represents a generational shift in the capability of systems in the enterprise field.

Being unveiled for the first time at Intersec 2008 will be the DV-IP Express, a video server which has been developed specifically for the Middle East and Indian markets to take account of the demand for ever higher performance in entry level solutions.  Available in 8, 12 and 16 input models, the DV-IP Express is capable of offering CIF recording at 25pps/30pps on all cameras in MJPEG and at up to 7pps for 4CIF recording.

Another technological advance on show, the CamVu 2000 mega pixel IP camera, is proving to be particularly attractive for financial institutions.  It provides the image resolution and quality necessary to identify suspects while allowing banks to replace their traditional, standalone, 35 mm wet film based cameras with a much more cost effective, flexible network capable alternative.

The advantage of the CamVu 2000 - compared to alternative mega pixel cameras - is its ability to support seamless integration with CCTV recording products such as the HighVu Excel.

Additionally, at Intersec 2008, the new DV-IP HD High Definition recording system will be introduced as the centrepiece of a High Definition (HD) CCTV area on the stand.  This offers end users a full desktop High Definition CCTV system that has been designed specifically to operate in association the CamVu 2000 mega pixel IP camera.

A major move for Dedicated Micros, which is to be highlighted at Intersec 2008, is the bringing to market of a range of CCTV systems with an embedded video analytics capability designed-in from the start.  The company believes that it is the first manufacturer to be able to offer such a truly integrated, embedded software and hardware, platform, particularly in the mid-range market.  Video analytics packages that can now be enabled, via a simple upgrade license, comprise:  Object Left, Object Removed, People Counting, ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) and Perimeter Protection.

When it comes to the intelligent application of CCTV, Dedicated Micros also plans to spotlight its DV-IP ATM solution, which is helping to keep bank customers in the Middle East safe and secure.

Also in evidence at Intersec 2008, following on from the landmark deal agreed by AD Group - the parent company of Dedicated Micros - will be the award-winning Baxall ICE range of mini-domes and cameras, which are now being marketed and sold by DM.

Looking at CCTV on the move, visitors to the DM stand will be able to appreciate AD Group's extensive transport and mobile CCTV portfolio.  This includes PatrolVu from TSS (Traffic Safety Systems) designed for use by law enforcement agencies; TransVu Express from AD Network Video, a compact and lightweight mobile CCTV solution and, the, award-winning, dual purpose TransVu Media that allows advertising messages to be displayed on the move.
