Matrox presents Video Decoding Accelerator plug-in for Milestone XProtect Smart Client at ASIS 09Published on 10 September 2009
Matrox VDA-1164 accelerates video decoding under Milestone XProtect Smart Client by alleviating the host CPU and the host data bus of the decoding process to provide stutter-free viewing of full frame rate IP video streams. VDA supports simultaneous decoding of multiple video formats from a variety of IP cameras, encoders, and codecs, while displaying the various video streams-in native resolution-on up to four high-definition displays. Full support with Milestone XProtect Smart Client also offers integrators additional flexibility by allowing them to either scale down host CPU and memory requirements, or to view even more live camera streams by using both VDA and the host CPU for IP video decoding.
