CEM Systems to release new IP product ranges at IFSEC

Published on 28 March 2008

The AC2000 Lite security management system from CEM Systems - one of the new products the company will release at IFSEC 2008CEM Systems, a leading access control brand of Tyco International, is set to release a range of new products at IFSEC 2008, including the AC2000 Lite security management system for small to medium sized facilities, as well as the S610e Fingerprint card reader.  Visit Stand 1046, Access Control Hall 6, IFSEC, NEC, Birmingham from 12-15 May.

Taking advantage of core software features within the industry renowned AC2000 SE security system, AC2000 Lite provides a feature rich, yet affordable access control system that will meet the complete security needs of small to medium sized installations.  The system supports CEM's range of industry leading IP hardware products such as advanced IP readers and Power over Ethernet door controllers.  Available in two software licensing configurations supporting either 1-64 doors, or 1-128 doors, a typical AC2000 Lite system will consist of one AC2000 Lite system controller and up to 5 operator workstations to seamlessly perform all system tasks, including graphical alarm management, ID badging, Visitor Reporting, Time & Attendance reporting and much more.

"IFSEC is set to be a very prominent event for CEM with a number of new products being released to meet the needs of the various markets in which we operate," commented Philip Verner, Sales & Marketing Manager at CEM Systems.  "The AC2000 Lite system is set to benchmark the industry as one of the most accomplished security management solutions available for the small to mid range markets, whilst the S610e fingerprint reader provides the industry with one of the most advanced biometric access control solutions available,"  Verner continued.

The S610e Fingerprint Reader provides clients with a highly secure, flexible and fully integrated single solution for both biometric template management and access control.  Designed for use as part of the CEM AC2000 range of security management systems, the S610e Fingerprint reader is used to control access to restricted areas where an additional biometric layer of security is required. The S610e Fingerprint Reader from CEM Systems

What makes the reader unique to the industry is that fingerprint templates are captured on the CEM AC2000 access control enrolment station at the same time as cardholders' personnel details and image, and then saved to the AC2000 Server rather than just an ID smart card.  Cards can then be issued and biometric templates distributed via the access control system network to the CEM S610e Fingerprint reader at the door - eliminating the need for an additional biometric cabling network and software enrolment process.  With a unique internal database, the S610e Fingerprint reader also holds biometric and cardholder data at door level, giving full off-line card & biometric verification and reliable decision making at the door at all times, even if communication to the access control host is not available.

Visit Stand 1046 to meet with CEM representatives.
