DataCom Systems Inc., a leader in surveillance and monitoring solutions, today announced a new partnership with EVT, a provider of video management software.  Datacom will market and support EVT's line of Video Management Systems (VMS) and Networked Video Recorders (NVRs) in the US.

By teaming up with EVT, Datacom will be able to deliver comprehensive video surveillance solutions to its end-users, enabling any system operator to easily monitor and manage numerous events in real time.  EVT's patent pending Image Content Navigation module provides security operators with the means to continuously tail a moving object within a site of numerous cameras with a simple mouse click.  The company's 2.5D Live Video Maps provide improved site perspective and intuitive navigation capabilities.

"Video management and surveillance concerns have become inseparable, and it is important that firms work together to offer advanced technologies that integrate transparently into customers' sites and meet growing business and security needs," said Danny Mackey, Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations, DataCom Systems.  "When we looked at a range of companies offering networked video management solutions, EVT clearly stood out with the best non-proprietary, open architecture IP-based video technology.  Our customers can now build the most suitable and cost effective video system for their practical needs, allowing them to enjoy a high return on investment from existing equipment," said Johnny Walker,Chief Technology Officer, Datacom Systems.

"American customers will now be able to receive EVT's networked video management software directly in their market and benefit from excellent local support from a distributor that is very experienced in security and surveillance systems," said David Keidar, general manager of EVT.  "This new partnership increases our reach within the US market and is another important step in EVT's global distribution strategy.  EVT will provide Datacom's local sales offices, support helpdesk and engineering teams with training and marketing support to help them increase the size and scope of operations within this market."
