Learning from industry experience in major eventsPublished on 12 Aug 2009
A survey is being conducted by RISC to enable UK industry to inform Government about industry experience in previous Olympic Games and other major sporting events and to record lessons learnt. David Evans, Co-chairman of the RISC Industry Advisory Group which has created the survey, comments: "RISC and the OSD are well aware of the breadth of knowledge and experience in the UK security industry with regard to securing major sporting events. This is a unique opportunity for us to harness this knowledge and for security companies to provide input into the planning for London 2012." Organisations with experience of previous major events can access the survey at this link. The closing date for submitting responses is 15th September 2009. A RISC team comprising its trade associations will then collate responses to be submitted to the Olympic Security Directorate. All responses will remain confidential and when the survey is reported on, the results will be non attributable to individuals or companies. |
