Genetec appoints OPS as value-added distributor in Australia and New Zealand

Published on 20 February 2008

Genetec announced recently the appointment of Open Platform Systems (OPS) Pty Ltd as its value-added distributor in Australia and New ZealandGenetec, a pioneer in IP security solutions and a technology leader within the physical security industry, announced recently the appointment of Open Platform Systems (OPS) Pty Ltd as its value-added distributor in Australia and New Zealand.  The Asian market is considered critical to Genetec's global presence and growth, and the appointment of OPS will be key in providing a dependable and future-proofed IP physical security solution to the Australia/New Zealand market.

Genetec's product line combined with OPS's agility and extensive experience in IP security ensures that the Australia and New Zealand customers, integrators and consultants will benefit from several advantages, among which easier product and expertise access, project and system design, local product training and certification, and "in-house" 24x7 help-desk service.

‘'As all type of organisations in nearly all vertical markets in Australia and New Zealand increasingly embrace open architecture IP-based physical security, the opportunities to provide them with a robust, unified and scalable IP security platform expands dramatically.  With our agreement with OPS, Australian and New Zealand customers can now confidently adopt Genetec's world-class IP security solutions with the assurance that they invested in dependable and evolutive technology," commented Guy Chénard, Genetec's Vice-President Global Sales & Business Development.

"We are proud of our association with Genetec.  We are confident that this partnership will allow us to implement OPS's open platform strategy in Australia and New Zealand and provide the regional security market with the most reliable and future-proofed solutions for years to come,'' commented Moti Mimeran and Kobi Ben Shabat, OPS Directors.
