Optelecom-NKF Siqura product line strengthens Genetec's security solution

Optelecom-NKF, Inc., a leading global supplier of advanced video surveillance solutions, recently announced a new partner addition to their Alliances program of Genetec, a pioneer and technology leader in IP video surveillance security solutions.

The companies have been working closely to ensure that Optelecom-NKF's Siqura® surveillance solutions are interoperable with Genetec's Omnicast 4.2, its latest version IP video surveillance solution.  Joint customers can now easily integrate a large number of Siqura® C-series and S-series MPEG-4 video codecs with the Genetec Omnicast solution.

"Our Alliances program in general, and this partnership with Genetec in particular, is emblematic of our commitment to interoperability," said Roger Decker, Product Marketing Director for Optelecom-NKF.  "We are pleased with the relationship with Genetec, a recognized industry leader for open Video Management Software solutions."

"The integration of the Optelecom-NKF Siqura product line strengthens our position as a leading player in the open platform space.  This integration will also complement our security solution in the transportation industry, a sector where we put a lot of focus," added Michel Chalouhi, Director of Product Management at Genetec.

Through extensive and documented testing, Optelecom-NKF and its Alliance Partners provide customers with ease of integration and peace of mind through an open-systems approach based on standards and proven interoperability.
