IdentiSys Inc. acquires 4Site Systems, Inc

Published on 19 July 2007

IdentiSys, Inc. recently announced that it has acquired the assets and ongoing business operations of 4Site Systems, Inc., a provider of efficient workflow solutions for both standard and custom digital scanning, variable printing, finishing and mailing applications.  Terms of the purchase were not disclosed.

Founded in 2000, 4Site Systems, Inc. is a Minneapolis-based company that specialises in the sale and integration of software, hardware and equipment used for the storage and delivery of digital information using print, e-mail, fax, CD/DVD or over the Internet.

"Many customers have been looking for a solution for high quality, on-demand pre-printed cards as well as unique promotional or fulfilment pieces," said Debra R. Ferril, President of IdentiSys, Inc.  "Now IdentiSys will be able to satisfy these requirements and help them deliver new offerings to their markets."

The 4Site Systems product offerings include production solutions for digital B&W, Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR), highlight colour, production colour, high-volume transactional, large format, label, envelope and ID card digital print solutions.  These solutions include a complete range of digital finishing and mailing options to enable the development of a complete application from start to finish.

4Site personnel who will be joining IdentiSys bring extensive experience in the printing, direct mail and fulfilment industries.  Their knowledge and relationships with customers and vendors ensure a smooth transition.

"IdentiSys has been interested in expanding into these highly desirable and compatible markets for about four years.  The acquisition of 4Site will enable us to immediately penetrate this higher end market with a viable product offering, industry knowledgeable personnel, and a developed user base," said Michael R. Shields, CEO of IdentiSys, Inc.

IdentiSys Inc. offers complete identification solutions, including most applications that utilise a plastic card, metal tag, biometric or other form of ID.  The Eden Prairie, Minnesota company is the largest supplier of identification solutions to end users in North America, representing over fifty identification and security suppliers and providing superior service and support to thousands of customers in corporate, education, healthcare, government and many other markets.
