smarti® IFSEC Awards finalist for the second time in a row

Published on 17 May 2007

smarti®, a complete multimodal biometric access control and time & attendance solution, has been shortlisted for the IFSEC Security Industry Awards in the Best New Access Control Product category for the second successive year.  Last year the smarti® Alcor unit was among the six finalists and this year the BSIA (British Security Industry Association) shortlisted the new smarti® Castor unit among the six best new access control products for the year 2007.

smarti® manufacturer TAB Systems is very proud of this nomination and the company says it encourages them to put even more time & effort in to the development of the product.

smarti® is a complete access control and time & attendance solution based on multimodal biometrics using face/mimic and voice recognition.

An additional advantage of this great product is the integration of multiple additional features like video messaging, video intercom, video surveillance and video phone into one compact device for a reasonable price.  smarti® is also completely protocol independent and can therefore be used to control almost any kind of I/O device (electronic locks, lights, alarm systems, finger print scanners, magnetic card readers...).

The Castor unit is IP65 compliant, has an aluminium front casing, is in-wall or on-wall mountable, and is equipped with an 8" colour touch screen, integrated camera, a built in LED light, motion detector, microphone, speakers, central processing unit, built in storage, internal memory, communication ports and a relay I/O controller.
