AD Network Video wins US award

Published on 25 April 2007

The groundbreaking mobile digital CCTV system TransVu Media from AD Network Video - part of AD Group - won the "Judges Choice Commercial Product" in the New Product Showcase, an event sponsored by the Security Industry Association (SIA), at the 2007 ISC West Conference in Las Vegas.

TransVu Media, which was entered for the award by AD Network Video's sister company Dedicated Micros, is the newest addition to the TransVu family and faced stiff competition from more than 90 other new products and services.  The feature which impressed the judges most was the capability for TransVu Media customers to obtain recurring revenue from the mobile DVR.

Richard Bettley, Technical Manager at AD Network Video, said:  "We are extremely pleased that the innovative nature of TransVu Media has once again been recognised.  It allows users to combine security and vehicle management with the ability to deliver travel information and advertising to passengers on the move - a first in the industry.  This final feature means that they can actually generate revenue through advertising which dramatically increases the ROI."

In operation, the dual-purpose, NetVu Connected, TransVu Media feeds on-board display screens with stored advertising messages together with travel information, while simultaneously recording CCTV images from inside the cabin.  Text capabilities can be used to indicate the next stop on the route, and selected screens may be triggered to play when the vehicle passes GPS coordinates of commercial stops or points of interest.
