ISE recruits ‘Famous Five’ to ensure continued growth for events

Published on 27 July 2007

Integrated Systems Events, organiser of Integrated Systems Europe, Integrated Systems Russia and the Integrated Systems Roadshow, is announcing five new appointments to strengthen its team as its activities continue to broaden.

To begin with, ISE is appointing three new members to its Board of Directors.  Each Board Member can serve a two-year term and the new members are Timothy Penn, Managing Director of AMX UK; Matt Teevan, International Director of Da-Lite Screen Company; and Thierry Ollivier, Sales Manager of projectiondesign.  The trio replace A C Ter Meulen, President of Mitsubishi Europe Benelux; Susanne Seidel, Vice President, Sennheiser, and John Forney Vice President, Lutron, who have all just completed their terms of office.

Mike Blackman, Managing Director of Integrated Systems Events, says, "At ISE we pride ourselves on our willingness not just to listen to exhibitors and attendees, but to involve the industry, for whom we run this event, in our decision-making and strategy.  Our Board plays a key role in giving ISE direction and leadership.  I would like to thank A C, Susanne, and John for their years of service, and am delighted to welcome three such experienced and respected industry figures as Tim, Matt, and Thierry to the Board."

Additionally, Ian Morrish has joined ISE as Sales Manager responsible for the UK, Benelux, Scandinavia and Latvia, as well as the residential sector of the US market.  Ian comes to ISE after spending eight years working with CEDIA in the UK, the last four selling stand space at the Association's successful UK-based Expo.

"My eight years with CEDIA have enabled me to build up a large number of key industry relationships, and have also given me a great insight into how the industry is evolving," says Ian.  "Working with ISE will allow me to make the most of that knowledge, and I am really looking forward to helping the organisation's fast-growing events move on to the next stage in their development."

Also joining this month is Dan Goldstein, formerly Editor of Installation Europe and The ISE Daily, who has been appointed to run the Press Office for Integrated Systems Events.  From now on, Dan will be the media's main point of contact for all PR matters relating to IS Europe, IS Russia and the Roadshow.

"I've been involved with the development of these events ever since the first Integrated Systems Europe was held in Geneva in 2004," says Dan.  "I have enormous respect for the people who put these events together, and consider it a real privilege to be working with them to ensure ISE's activities get the media attention they deserve."

Mike Blackman concludes, "With our three new Board appointments, together with the recruitment of Ian and Dan, we feel we are well-placed to ensure ISE's continued growth in the months and years to come - not just in our core Amsterdam event but in all our other areas of activity as well."
