Zandar MultiViewers showcase enhanced flexibility for Live Monitoring at ASIS 2006

Published on 15 August 2006

Zandar Technologies, a leading innovator in the design and development of high resolution multi-image processing and control systems will be showcasing enhanced MultiViewer products with a demonstration of advanced operator control in live traffic monitoring and master control room applications at ASIS 2006.

"The strength and performance of Zandar MultiViewers in video surveillance environments is affirmed by the success we have enjoyed in the past year, with many exciting product developments and prestigious installations added to our expansive client portfolio," comments Deirdre Smith, CEO at Zandar Technologies.  "We hope to emulate these customer solutions at ASIS 06 to highlight the flexibility, reliability and outstanding clarity our range of MultiViewers provide in live and critical video monitoring."

Being showcased at ASIS for the first time, the improved FusionPro+ and Predator VC/VS MultiViewers are packed with innovative features to give operators even more control in their monitoring environment.  The highly configurable FusionPro+ accepts up to 26 feeds from virtually any source including cameras, satellite sources, DVRs, while the Predator VC/VS Series offers fixed configuration video monitoring solutions (12 and 16 inputs).  Both systems now feature the added functionality of the exciting Zandar Dual Head (ZdH) facility and Z-Configurator software.

Zandar also announces the all new Z-Controller control and monitoring software that acts as a powerful and easy-to-use screen manipulation tool.

Zandar's ZdH provides the flexibility to drive two displays at once, seamlessly configured as one virtual monitor wall.  Any of the inputs can be viewed on either display, including horizontally spanning the displays.  ZdH effectively provides two MultiViewers in one chassis, with consequent cost savings and brings further redundancy benefits in the event of display failure, with the ability to re-route all channels to the remaining active display with no loss of function in the control room.

ZdH is simply controlled with the Z-Configurator software, a powerful tool that offers an intuitive graphical user interface to easily control and edit layouts.  Feature highlights include preset layout selection, drag and drop functionality, online and offline editing and the flexible configuration of all source views including resize, position, borders and styles.

The addition of the new Z-Controller software enables the manipulation and set up of displays using an individual or group of MultiViewers.  The wall display can be seamlessly configured using the software and includes scenarios and layout, alarms settings and audio configuration.  ASIS provides the perfect platform to launch this powerful new feature in to the security marketplace.

The versatile DX Series MultiViewers shall also be on show to demonstrate entry-level solutions for standard security applications and the Zandar Remote Panel (ZRP), which can configure and control MultiViewers with a simple push of a button from the operator's desk.

The past year has seen a tremendous increase in the demand for live video surveillance monitoring using the Zandar MultiViewer solution throughout the USA and globally.  High profile installations in the USA include countrywide government monitoring, monitoring of extremely sensitive military areas and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI).  Numerous utilities companies are now using the Zandar MultiViewer solution including a large-scale video monitoring system at Southeast Regional Water Treatment Plant in Seminole County, Florida and increased monitoring at a major security-sensitive chemical facility in the Ohio River Basin.  Even traffic and weather monitoring is utilized by the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority.
