Visimetrics deploys cross-campus hybrid recordingPublished on 25 Feb 2008
The recent upgrade adds to the existing recording system of OCTAR System DVRs sited across many of the University's facilities. As the University's estate has grown, so has the requirement for adding further provision for CCTV across all campuses. The University's existing recording solution of OCTAR System DVRs has seamlessly been incorporated to create a fully integrated recording solution across the entire property estate. Visimetrics CONTROL user interface provides operators with a single point of access to view, control and archive any camera from any location regardless of source. The capability and ease of use of CONTROL has also enabled the University to provide direct access to the local police authorities force liaison officer. Incident investigations can now be achieved directly by the police reviewing the recordings without the assistance of site security operators, maximising use "I'm delighted with the efficiency, practicality and performance this solution provides the University," confirms Visimetrics Managing Director, Barry Rooney. "As the system has grown organically, we have been adding OCTAR System DVRs though with the incorporation of OCTAR Net NVRs, the University now has a true hybrid solution with a unified means of managing and operating traditional and IP-based recording systems cross-campus." |
