Videoswitch stays the course

Published on 4 March 2008

Videoswitch have won the order to supply the digital video recording equipment for Telford Golf Club and Spa HotelVideoswitch have won the order to supply the digital video recording equipment for Telford Golf Club and Spa Hotel.

Having been acquired by Q Hotels, the Telford Golf Club and Spa Hotel has undergone a multi-million refurbishment, which has included a new CCTV system.

Three racks mounted Videoswitch Vi 405 DVRs have been installed.  Each has 16 channels and 1500 Mbytes of video storage capacity.  Collectively they can record video from the CCTV cameras, 48 of which have been installed throughout the golf course and hotel.

The CCTV system was designed and installed by Telford based Wrekin Communications (Security) Ltd.  John Henderson of Wrekin said:  "Although this was a competitive tender situation, no specific product was specified.  We had used Videoswitch DVRs on previous projects and knew they represented good value as well as having an impressive range of features and functions.  We had the confidence therefore to recommend them to the client."

In addition to the DVRs, Videoswitch have also supplied three control keyboards.  These allow managers of the leisure centre and golf course, in addition to security personnel, to have access to live images and retrieve recorded video.
