Vicon in control at IFSEC 2008

Published on 10 April 2008

Vicon will be demonstrating their Virtual Matrix solution at IFSEC 2008, with a preview of the new ViconNet v5.0Vicon's stand (#17057) at IFSEC 2008 will feature a multi-monitor video wall simulating a traditional control room environment but displaying live and playback video from both network and analogue sources via a Virtual Matrix.

"Visitors to our stand will have the opportunity to see the power and flexibility of our Virtual Matrix solution which combines the functionality of a traditional matrix switching system with all the advantages of digital video management," said Chris Wall, Vicon's Managing Director.

In addition there will be a preview of the latest version of ViconNet v5.0, which incorporates open platform flexibility, integrated analytics and megapixel camera support.  The open platform capability will allow IP cameras from most major manufacturers to be seamlessly integrated into a ViconNet network.

As part of their ongoing support for analogue solutions, Vicon will also be launching a redesigned and updated version of their analogue matrix range.  The new Pilot range includes higher density, smaller footprint systems and simplified system programming via PC based configurators.
