Eyetec officially declared best new intruder alarm productPublished on 15 May 2006  Siemens Building Technologies’ new integrated motion detection system, Eyetec, has received the accolade “Best New Intruder Alarm Product”, at the IFSEC 2006 Security Industry Awards. The award was presented at an official ceremony, supported by the British Security Industry Association (BSIA), on 8th May 2006.
Another Siemens product, the Sistore CX EDS intelligent embedded codec, was also nominated as a finalist within the “Best New CCTV Product” category. Eyetec is the only motion detector on the market to combine optical and passive infrared detection technologies. It also incorporates a revolutionary anti-blocking feature, which reliably detects masking attempts over a wide visual field, which means that this innovative unit is the only product of its type to meet the stringent requirements for use in EN50131 Grade 4 applications. Speaking after the ceremony, Marketing Manager, Ian Ellis said: “We are truly delighted to receive this award. Since its recent introduction to the market, Eyetec has received lots of interest from our installers and end users alike and is proving to be a very successful product for us … we think it is a worthy winner”.
