AMG Systems expands into India

Published on 21 May 2008

Gurpreet S. Basra, new Business Development Manager for AMG Systems Ltd. in IndiaAMG Systems Ltd. has announced that Gurpreet S. Basra has joined as Business Development Manager for India.  Gurpreet Basra has an electronics engineering background and joins AMG Systems from a position in the UAE as Head of Projects, Intelligent Traffic Solutions at Scientechnic Siemens in Dubai.  Prior to this, Gurpreet has gained extensive experience working as Head of Projects on highway traffic management systems in India.  He has also worked with Compsis (Brazil) and Philips India.  Gurpreet's distinguished international career has now taken him back to his native India where he will be running AMG's operation out of New Delhi.

Founder and MD of AMG Systems, Alan Hayes, said: "AMG has seen the market in India grow rapidly over the past few years.  This new position as Business Development Manager strongly reflects our continued success and follows our recent appointment of a Sales Manager in the Middle East.  With his excellent know-how on intelligent traffic management systems I am particularly delighted that we have employed Gurpreet and I am convinced that his in-depth knowledge of the Indian market will be an asset to the continued growth of AMG's business."

Gurpreet Basra commented: "AMG offers a unique service to its clients by designing fibre-optic solutions for transport management systems which can incorporate true dual redundant optical systems.  With the acclaimed Guardian-LiteT 3700 system already implemented in a number of Indian Traffic Management projects, the company has an excellent position to grow its market share within the entire spectrum for security and surveillance applications of CCTV over the next few years.  I am therefore very much looking forward to promoting AMG's future proof intelligent solutions, which always incorporate the latest developments in security software and hardware devices."
