Mitsubishi Electric exhibit latest DVR range at the Norbain LIVE 2006 road shows

Published on 7 September 2006

Mitsubishi Electric's Visual Information Systems division, a leading manufacturer of innovative security solutions will be exhibiting its latest range of digital security products at this year's Norbain LIVE 2006 road shows.

The first Norbain LIVE 2006 road show is in Glasgow on 19th September.  On display will be examples from Mitsubishi's current range of DX digital recorders, all of which are compact, robust yet fully featured and come with a 24 month return to base warranty.  They have been designed to suit a host of applications from retail, financial, corporate and transportation.

Mitsubishi's latest additions include a 16 channel digital recorder that was launched at this years IFSEC exhibition the DX-TL4516E, and a new 9-channel version the DX-TL4509E which will be launched in the UK this month.

The DX-TL4516E comes equipped with many of the advanced features of Mitsubishi's current and highly regarded 16 channel DVR, the DX-TL5000E.  These include triplex functionality and built in motion detection, as well as a dual multiplexer output that allows for the simultaneous monitoring of both live and recorded footage.  Furthermore the DX-TL4516E uses the latest JPEG2000 compression technology for high quality, fine detailed pictures and comes with a built in USB and CD/DVD-R/RW drive, an advanced feature in today's market and can record up to 100 pictures per second per camera.  As standard this DVR comes with one 400Gb HDD, and has the option to add an additional internal drive as well as another 7Tb externally.

The new DX-TL4509E is a 9-channel version with similar functionality as the DX-TL4516E and DX-TL5000E, the DX-TL4509E comes as standard with one 400Gb HDD.  There is room for an additional bay, which allows an extra HDD to be added and if more memory is required, up to 7Tb can also be added externally.

Also on display will be the DX-TL5000E, Mitsubishi's advanced 16 channel digital recorder that utilises JPEG2000 technology to ensure high picture quality and efficient image compression.  It also boasts a recording rate of up to 200 pictures per second and a viewing rate of 800 pictures per second.  The DX-TL5000E can be equipped with up to 3 internal hard disks, while optional DX-ZD5UE HDD extension units can house 2 hard disks each (the DX-TL5000E can accommodate a maximum of 7 DX-ZD5UE HDD extension units), therefore maximising storage capacity up to 35Tb.

Completing the line up at this years road shows is the DX-NT400E, Mitsubishi's 4 channel digital recorder that can accommodate up to 2 hard drives.  It features a HDD caddy that is not only removable but also interchangeable, enabling recordings to be removed and stored for evidence purposes.  The additional HDDs and caddy can provide the user with a long-term storage option.  Simultaneous recording and playback is available via the built-in full duplex facility.  There are up to five selectable picture grades and nine recording time modes with up to 25 pictures per second per camera.  The Mitsubishi DX-NT400E also features built-in motion detection; full networking capability and Mitsubishi's Nethunter lite application software, which enables users to download incidents remotely.  For added system security, a removable remote control is available and the HDD caddy is lockable.

Mitsubishi will also have on display a 32" LCD public display monitor, which produces high definition, dynamic images accurately from DVDs and PCs making it ideal for image and information communication; also available from Mitsubishi are 37", 40" and 46" versions.
