MCX Systems strengthens LEGIC’s partner network in Poland

Published on 9 November 2007

LEGIC Identsystems Ltd, the leader of 13.56 MHz contactless smart card technology for personal identification applications, and MCX Systems Sp. zo. o., provider of comprehensive ICT solutions, signed a licence agreement in Poland.  The partnership strengthens LEGIC's position in the Polish market and enables MCX to implement state-of-the-art technology in its terminal card systems.

MCX was established in 1988 and since its foundation has enjoyed a dynamic growth, keeping pace with the technology boom of the late 20th century.  Continuously broadening its scope of products and services, the company has moved from a mere distributor to a reputed system integrator.  It skilfully utilises latest technology as well as a rich hands-on technical know-how and business practice across many fields.  Today, the company provides sophisticated, tailor-fit ICT systems, as well as implementation services, advisory and training in the areas of tele- and multimedia communications, information management and network infrastructure.

Complementary to its highly sophisticated data management systems, MCX has answered the need for solutions and tools ensuring the highest levels of security.  The company offers state-of-the-art terminal card systems, using chip technology as well as biometric identification, for access control tools in order to authorize access to computer networks, to set resource access rights as well as to control physical access to buildings and premises.

MCX's solutions combine a wide scope of applications with perfect compatibility with existing infrastructure.  The 13.56 MHz contactless LEGIC technology ideally supports such multi-functionality, and it tops it with advanced security features and compliance with industry standards like ISO 15693, ISO 14443, DES/3DES.  It has, amongst others, been successfully implemented in the areas of access control, time & attendance, cashless payment, parking and fleet management, data collection, office automation and IT access - all fields which are closely related to MCX's successful activities in the Polish market.

Grzegorz Jaglarski, Software Development Department Director, at MCX Systems, comments, "Thanks to the cooperation with LEGIC, MCX Systems will be able to improve its contactless solutions.  We already have promising projects in the pipeline like city cards for public transport, electronic purse and comprehensive access control systems where we will be well positioned using the advanced security and multi-functionality of the LEGIC technology".

"MCX Systems is another strong pillar in our expanding network in Poland," declares, Klaus U. Klosa, Managing Director of LEGIC Identsystems Ltd.  "It has always been MCX's strategy to cooperate with leading technology suppliers and form sound and reliable long-term partnerships - a perfect match with our own philosophy and commitment to the Polish market.  We are happy to gain such an experienced and reputed partner with a firm market position in this country."
