HID Global, the trusted leader in providing solutions for the delivery of secure identity, exhibited its identity and access management solutions at IFSEC, Birmingham.

During the exhibition, HID Global took the opportunity to introduce its "I WANT" communications campaign, which puts customers' wants first. Over 150 show visitors shared their wants from HID and the security industry with HID via feedback flyers and electronic submissions.

The show's highlight was HID on the Desktop™, a convenient and cost-effective solution recently introduced to the market, which enables the combination of physical and logical access control with a single card. It is a three component solution, consisting of a reader (OMNIKEY® readers), a card (HID cards) and software (naviGO™) that allow for secure log-on to a user's PC or laptop.

HID also showcased the HID on the Desktop solution with Dell Latitude™ E-Family laptops which are equipped with embedded contactless smart card readers. This project carried by HID, in conjunction with Dell, was recognised by the Smart Card Alliance for the contribution to integrated physical/logical access solutions.

Additionally, HID exhibited a wide variety of applications ranging from high and low frequency access control solutions, network access control solutions, Fargo card printers/encoders and the latest Secure Card Issuance solutions from HID.
