SISTORE CX is an intelligent digital video Codec for video transmission and recording, which now offers additional enhancements to meet market needs. Two of the modules available with SISTORE CX are SISTORE CX EDS and SISTORE CX ODR. The addition of these modules through a simple software upgrade provides exceptional functionality, ensuring a future proof system on a platform, which undergoes continuous development. Enhanced Detection Solution (EDS) EDS is a functionality, which can be added via a software module to provide professional outdoor video motion detection. This retrofit upgrade via a software licence offers motion detection, with object tracking, suitable for a variety of external applications. Unlike many other systems, which simply compare one image with the next and check for changes, SISTORE CX EDS uses a statistical method. The algorithm continuously analyses the video stream throughout its history. To ensure the highest detection rate and minimal false alarms, track length and direction of the object can also be set. Object Detection and Removal (ODR) Again available via a software module, the algorithm based ODR provides the means by which unattended items can be detected. The most obvious application is identifying a potential explosive device, making it an ideal solution for a number for applications, from airports and rail stations to retail complexes and hotels. Beyond explosive detection, as the software identifies unattended objects, it can also be used to keep designated areas clear of obstruction, triggering an alarm if an abandoned object is blocking, for example, an access door. Developed using the latest Siemens technology, SISTORE CX is particularly suited for applications requiring video transmission and/or recording or as a video sensor in IP network installations. |
