VIVOTEK USA is announcing an expanded product offering and increased strengthening in VMS partnerships at the ASIS 2012 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania this year from September 10-12. The highlight will be the full-fledged line of 5-Megapixel cameras, which complement the vandal-resistant outdoor dome FD8372. In addition, the second-generation of the award-winning fisheye camera FE8172/72V continue to be the celebrity product at VIVOTEK, which has received tremendous feedback from users in vertical markets, such as retail and city surveillance. The IP8372, available as of Q4 this year, is the industry’s first all-in-one 5-Megapixel outdoor bullet camera with built-in infrared LEDs and remote focus, allowing integrators to quickly install and fine-tune images. Other new features the 5-Megapixel solutions offer include Pixel Calculator, which allows installers to definitively test and ensure proper video quality for identification.
One of the most exciting developments to be announced at ASIS is support for VIVOTEK cameras on Exacq Technologies’ exacqVision Edge Video Management System, allowing for a fully functional, feature-rich central management software to be run directly off of an SD/SDHC/SDXC card slot located on the camera, eliminating the need for server hardware. VIVOTEK cameras are the only ones in the industry that have adopted the SDXC standard, allowing for at least double the recording storage of other camera manufacturers.
Other products to be exhibited at ASIS include the bandwidth-efficient FD8131 indoor dome with a vari-focal lens, the PD8136 mini PTZ dome, the SD833XE HD speed dome with NEMA-rated enclosures and the ultra-compact, vandal-proof FD8151V with comes with selectable lenses and IR illuminators (effective up to 10 meters). The FD8151V is making its industry debut right at this year’s ASIS International.
