Marine-Grade Stainless Steel Construction The PROXIMITY marine reader is styled on a porthole and was originally designed for use on yachts, ships and other harsh environments. Consequently the bezel is manufactured from marine grade stainless steel; this prevents salt water corrosion without compromising the reader's appearance, or those of its surrounding area. Highly Visible Backlit Reader The bezel is continuously backlit by an inner and outer circle of blue light, making it highly visible in poor weather and at night. This makes presenting a token quick and easy for the user; no one wants to stand around on a cold, wet and windy night trying to locate a reader. The backlight changes colour to denote access permissions; green for ‘granted' and red for ‘denied'. After an action has been taken it returns to its blue halo effect. Hassle Free Installation & Integration The reader is quick and simple to install and is compatible with both Switch2 and Net2 access control systems. Its electronics are fully encapsulated (IP67 rated) ensuring reliability in the harshest of environments. It's also capable of long read ranges when used with a hands free interface and tokens.
