In Profile Samsung respond positively to worldwide 1TB HDD shortage Samsung has taken positive action in response to the worldwide shortage of 1TB HDDs by introducing new models to its H.264 SRD series of DVRs. "The immediate availability of these new models will ensure continuity of supply to our customers during a time when all market sectors, and not just the security industry, are affected by the severe shortage of 1TB HDDs," said Peter Ainsworth, Senior Product Manager for Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd. "A new 500GB storage version, which shares the same features as the other DVRs in the SRD series, offers an easily upgradable and cost-effective solution for those looking for the best quality digital video recording."
