Saker ShopRites, Inc., owns and operates 27 supermarkets in New Jersey. Retail grocery stores are challenged to maintain security surveillance over large spaces to reduce the risk of theft, and to capture video content with a high degree of detail. A typical store may have 50 cameras and some as many as 100 to adequately monitor activity. Recording and storing data can be costly.
