The long awaited opening of the new Wembley Stadium
The newly-opened Wembley Stadium has 90,000 seats and is the biggest fully-covered football (soccer) stadium in the world. The famous arch over the stadium is 133 metres high and weighs 1,750 tonnes (the equivalent of 350 elephants or ten jumbo jets). New Wembley also has more toilets than any other building in the world with its 2,600 – and flushing all of them at the same time was part of the health and safety test procedures before the opening of the stadium.
