A key area in the fight against terror and crime

Many government buildings are now instigating measures once thought to be more common at airports - metal detectors, bag searches and x-ray machines.  Security considerations for local government can cover a diverse range of assets, often located across a broad area.  Town halls, libraries, galleries, zoos, swimming pools, parks and gardens, as well as administration buildings can all be accommodated in one system.  Many cities are also installing surveillance systems to keep watch over multiple public areas with the aim of not only reducing damage to municipal property but also crime and theft.
